A Cloud of Thought
01:01
|
|||
Oh to drift away
In the belly of a cloud.
Away from thoughts so loud
Adrift in sky of grey.
Oh to feel
My naked body spread
'Cross tendril sunlight red
My unseen wounds to heal.
Can you hear the softness?
Above the speaking trees?
Echoes on the breeze
Amid the aching calmness.
Oh to drift away
In the belly of a cloud
Escape the creeping shroud
Some days I'm so afraid.
Oh to drift away
Oh to drift
Away

Moon Woman

Silent while sleeping, was lost in a dream,
I sat myself down 'side a bubbling stream.
Wind quietly whispered and kissed on my ear,
Across me the brook a young figure appeared.
O, when will I see you again,
When will I see you again?
You love through my dreamscapes in peace and serene,
When will I see you again?
Lips pink magnolias, soft skin white like cream,
Her hair cascades downwards like sun on the stream,
Crown trimmed with daisies, their stems bound with care,
In dew-covered steps she approached, met my stare.
She sat down beside me legs crossed on the lawn,
Her star eyes sparkled inward, her lips I was drawn.
Exploded in colours: green, yellow, orange, and blue.
Our lips met and locked I fell in her hue.
O, when will I see you again,
When will I see you again?
You love through my dreamscapes in peace and serene,
When will I see you again?
O, when will I see you again,
When will I see you again?
You love through my dreamscapes in peace and serene,
When will I see you again?
When will I see you again?
When will I see you again?

Lake Song
04:02
|
|||
Hungover, in daydream, I sit on my deck,
While beer and tobacco cling fast to my breath.
Look all around me see nothing but trees,
Yet the cool buds of springtime have yet to be seen.
The birds all a-flitter, the lake sheds its ice.
The warmth of the sunshine it feels so nice.
A cold cup of coffee mutes the hurt in my head,
Knowing too well it'll happen again.
Why does it happen, I ask myself, why?
Fall for a girl who just makes me cry?
No matter what happens I always stay true...
No matter what happens I always feel blue.
The birds all a-flitter, the lake sheds its ice.
The warmth of the sunshine it feels so nice.
